How to Get Bikini Ready Fast | Whether you're going on a beach vacation, or the summer months are quickly approaching, you're probably on the hunt for some sort of summer body workout plan to help you get your best bod in 30 days (or less). There are tons of meal plan and workout plan ideas that can help (21 day fix, anyone?), but the key to long-term results is to adopt healthy lifestyle changes you can sustain. This post has lots of great tips to teach how you to be confident in your skin!

A holiday by the sun requires cute beach towels, lots of SPF and of course a few beautiful bikinis. If you’re not quite feeling bikini ready, we’re here to lend a helping hand. Don’t worry – this isn’t your typical bikini body post about how to drop 15 pounds and count your calories, it’s all about working what you have, feeling your best and being confident in your skin! The best bikini is the one that makes you feel happy and most like yourself and we’re here with 10 tips on how to get bikini ready fast and with confidence.

How to Get Bikini Ready Fast

1. Choose the Best Bikini for Your Body Type
A bikini that looks good on one person won’t necessarily look good on another. The key is finding a swimsuit that balances your proportions and provides the coverage you want for your top and/or bottom half. If you love a certain part of your body, find a bikini that shows it off, and if you’re not so confident about another part of your body, choose one that has more coverage in that area. Try on a bunch of different swimsuits to find the one or two that make you look and feel your best. Swim styles change all the time, so step outside your comfort zone and you may just find your new favourite silhouette!

2. Avoid Refined Sugar
Refined sugar is found in foods like pastries, sweet cereals, cookies and cakes. It can also be hidden in foods like bread, yogurt, pasta sauce, salad dressing and peanut butter. Eating too many foods with refined sugar has been linked to numerous health problems, including weight gain and obesity. While you don’t need to necessarily go on a no-sugar diet, it’s best to limit refined sugar as much as possible to help maintain a healthy weight. Also opt for natural sugar substitutes such as maple syrup, honey, dates and coconut sugar.

3. Stay Away From Processed and Fast Foods
Processed foods such as microwave dinners, deli meats, boxed mac n’ cheese and frozen pizzas, as well as fast foods are not only detrimental to your waistline, they’re also bad for your overall health. These foods often include unhealthy levels of sugar, sodium and fat as well as artificial ingredients. Eating processed and fast foods is addicting. The more you eat, the more you want and they make you crave more food than your body needs. If you want to know how to get bikini ready fast, stay away from these foods as much as possible to feel your best.

4. Start Resistance Training
Resistance training, also known as weight training, improves your muscle strength and tone, and more muscles means more fat burn. Weight training causes your metabolism to burn for a longer time than cardio, meaning fat continues to get used up even when you’ve stopped working out. Work resistance training into your workout routine to improve your fitness, tone your muscles and feel stronger all around!

5. Workout in the Morning
Working out in the morning is not only a great way to start your day, it’s the perfect way to kickstart your metabolism, beginning the fat and calorie burning process. If you do a more intense workout, your metabolism will keep burning for the rest of the day, killing off calories at a higher rate. Working out in the morning will also boost your energy and mood, increase your focus and set the tone for an overall healthier day.

6. Spend Time Naked
If you’re someone who regularly avoids looking at your naked body in the mirror, it’s time to change that. Spending time naked can help you gain more confidence and feel happier and more comfortable in your skin. The more you see something, the more comfortable with it you become and the more you’ll start to know yourself better. Try not to be judgmental about your body and think about all the things it does for you in your daily life. You can start slow by spending a little bit of time naked everyday, and work up to more time as you feel more comfortable.

7. Limit Alcohol Consumption
Alcoholic drinks are dehydrating and high in calories, plus they make you crave unnecessary nibbles you wouldn’t have otherwise eaten. You’re likely to consume more calories after drinking, and when you add that to the calories in the drinks, it can lead to unwanted weight gain. If you want to know how to get bikini ready fast, opt for a mocktail instead!

8. Eat Lots of Protein and Fibre
Protein and fibre rich foods are key to feeling and looking your best. They’re both proven sources of long-lasting satiety, helping reduce your appetite and curb unnecessary snacking throughout the day. Aim to get at least 30 grams of fibre a day from foods like fruits, vegetables, lentils, beans and whole grains. Start your mornings with a protein-rich breakfast such as a protein smoothie or an egg scramble with veggies to fill you up until lunch.

9. Prioritize Sleep
Getting a good night’s sleep is so important for an overall healthy lifestyle and can also help with weight management. Inadequate sleep has been found to increase your appetite, boost cravings and negatively effect your metabolism. When you sleep better, you feel better and you’re more likely to make healthier choices. Proper sleep gives you more energy to exercise and get physical energy throughout the day. Prioritize sleep for your healthiest, happiest body.

10. Limit Your Time on Social Media
While there are benefits of social media, it can become toxic to endlessly scroll through people’s seemingly perfect lives, especially if their posts make you feel bad about your own body. Constantly looking at people with “ideal” bodies on social media can make you feel less confident in your own skin. Limit the time you spend on social media, and unfollow anyone who makes you feel bad about yourself. You’ll be amazed what a difference it will make.

Your best bikini body is one that’s healthy, happy and confident. If you’re on the hunt for tips to help you learn how to get bikini ready fast, I hope the ideas in this post allow you to achieve these things and feel great about your body!
